The confidence and optimism inherent in the CIAA team is attributable in no small measure to our strategic partners who will be working closely and in partnership with us in delivering a wide range of inspirational training programmes.

Three such partners in particular are outlined below.


Maltepe University is a private university founded in 1997 in the Maltepe district of Istanbul, with some 15,000 students and over 300 teaching and 300 administrative staff on its Dragos Campus set in an area of 15,000 square metres.

It has an established profile in respect of Aviation offering courses in a number of areas including –

In particular, Maltepe University has long-established linkages with Turkish Airlines, Turkish Airlines Aviation Academy, Turkish Airlines Leadership School, IATA (International Air Transport Authority), APDC (Airline Personnel Directors’ Council) and other global regulatory bodies.

The Rector, Prof. Dr. Şahin Karasar is himself an expert in the aviation sector, having previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Turkish Airlines (responsible for Training) and holding specialist diplomas and accreditations in Aviation Training from bodies such as the International Air Transport Authority (IATA), the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and Harvard University, amongst others.


The Academy and its expertise are available to CIAA as part of our strategic partnership with Maltepe University.

The Academy has been offering training courses for over 30 years and the Academy continues to be one of the leading aviation training centres in Turkey utilizing expert trainers and adopting a quality training approach. The Academy is situated in an area of 5800 square meters, containing 20 classrooms and a conference room with capacity of 108 seats.

Within the Academy there are 29 trainers, all experts in their fields, whereby 471 people can be delivered training courses at the same time. Approximately 2,585 classroom training sessions are conducted annually in which nearly 46,000 students participate. Moreover, the numbers involved in distance learning has reached 180,000.


Global Aviation Training Services UK, Global ATS Ltd (GATS) is a UK based company that provides a wide range of aviation training services in over 30 countries across the world.

It provides European (EU 2015/340) and ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) compliant Air Traffic Control Training (ATC) and Air Traffic Management courses for students across the World. Accreditations from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) are the foundations of GATS ATC Training, ensuring the highest student validation rates.

GATS mission is to deliver the best Aviation English, Air Traffic Control and Specialist Aviation courses in the industry. GATS on-going efforts to provide the highest possible standards are supported by its formal accreditations as well as numerous testimonials from various Air Navigation Service Providers from around the world.

GATS has been built on the legacy and foundations of the highly respected Bailbrook Aviation College which itself was a successor to the IAL Aviation College in Hayes, Middlesex established in the 1960s.

It is this rich heritage which has contributed in no small part in making GATS a world leading centre for aviation training excellence.


Mediterranean Flight School (MFS) is a strategic partner of CIAA and  offers a wide range of specialist training for the aeronautical sector. A major joint project involves a 15 month Pilot Training Course, with the theoretical phase taking place at MFS premises in Berges du Lac and the practical phase at Tozeur-Nefta International Airport as well as in all civilian airports in Tunisia.

MFS is an ICAO approved ATO accredited by the Tunisian Civil Aviation Authority as well as by the Ministry of Vocational Training and the Tunisian Employment Commercial Pilot Trainings. MFS has been approved by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Pilot training complies with the European JAR-FCL (Joint Aviation Requirements Flight Crew Licensing) exam and teaching standards, with each license including a theoretical and a practical part. The integrated ATPL (Air Transport Pilot License) is provided as the most direct and fastest way to become an airline pilot.

MFS also provides Higher Technician Training for senior technicians and technical assistants in aeronautics, as well as for the Technical Operations Officers and Ground Agents. Training is also provided for a wide range of ancillary aviation operations, such as Training in Meteorology for Meteorological Engineers and Meteorological Officers, Instrument Rating, PNC Training for Hostesses and Stewards.

The skilled and experienced instructors of MFS have sought to make the training phase for its students a memorable as well as technically proficient experience. This is in line with the motto of MFS, namely ‘Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life’
